He is also a visiting scholar of University of Ottawa, and the vice director of the Chongqing Key Lab of Online Analysis and Control. Prof. Chen is among the Chongqing science and technology innovation talents, an invited expert of Chongqing government on production safety, an expert of the manufacture informatization expert committee of Chongqing "Twelfth Five Year Plan". Prof. Chen is among the technical innovation experts of the national standard committee, an expert of the national SME innovation and development committee, a board member of the National College Manufacturing Automation Research Association, a professional researcher of China petroleum and gas industry expert library. Guorong Chen got his PhD degree in Chongqing University and is a professor at Chongqing University of Science and Technology. He is also a visiting scholar of University of Ottawa, and the vice director of the Chongqing Key Lab of Online Analysis and Control.
